International film crew in Michal Mine!
Director and producer Juan David Salazar shot a video for the Greek DJ Etostone in Ostrava’s Michal Mine on 19 and 20 October. Jan Schwarcz worked as a cameraman and the lead roles in the romantic story were played by Ondřej Novák and Eirini Karamanoli.
The international film crew with almost 30 members came to shoot from Prague. “We have chosen the Ostrava exteriors for their uniqueness and strong atmosphere. Due to the helpfulness and readiness of local people, both on location and in the Ostrava Film Office, we will always be happy to come back again,” Selma Ročková, a producer, summarizes. The crew did several shots also in surroundings of the Museum of the fortifications Hlučín-Darkovičky. Both of these locations were a part of the Location Tour for filmmakers held in September. Salazar, a Colombian director living in Prague, used the opportunity to participate in this event and discover the unique locations. In his words, he already has an idea for another project to be brought into reality in Ostrava.
